Legacy College Apac Offers Free Bursaries to 600 Students in Senior One and Senior Five

Apac, Uganda – Legacy College Apac has announced a free bursary scheme for 600 students joining Senior One and Senior Five, a move aimed at supporting education in Northern Uganda.

According to James Aboo, one of the directors of Legacy College Apac, generous friends of the school from overseas have already covered half of the tuition fees for these students. Under this initiative, students in Senior One will pay only 350,000 Ugandan shillings per term for the next four years, while those in Senior Five will contribute 450,000 shillings per term for two years.

Aboo highlighted the school’s modern laboratory and e-library, which provide a conducive learning environment for students.

Speaking about the initiative, Henry Okello, the head teacher of Legacy College Apac, emphasized that the bursary program aims to support children in Northern Uganda, especially those affected by past insurgencies. He added that the school is also launching new skill-based projects, including a bakery training program to equip students with practical knowledge.

“Legacy College Apac is a promising school with a team of dedicated teachers, and we are committed to providing quality education alongside practical skills that will benefit our learners in the future,” Okello stated.

With this initiative, Legacy College Apac continues to position itself as a center for quality education and skill development in the region.
